I've made these prints using lino printing equipment I've bought from TEMU
Everything you see in the image below is from TEMU, and I have to say, I'm pretty impressed by the quality of these tools, especially the paint. You can make a large variety of prints from home without spending a lot, or using any fancy equipment.
Even this thermal printer is from TEMU, so you can literally make prints with just an idea and your phone. The printer doesn't use expensive ink cartridges, just thermal paper.
Thermal printers only print in black and white, but that's all you need for lino printing. This is also great for other things like label making and tattoo transfer sheets. I think this is a handy and affordable tool in any home, regardless of what you use it for.
From start to finish, I've been able to make decent quality prints using simple equipment, and without spending a fortune If anyone wanted to try out lino printing without investing loads of money into a new hobby, I'd recommend getting your start up equipment from TEMU.

All Products purchased: Printers and printing paper.
Thermal printer - https://temu.to/k/e4f9fqzhmvp
Well worth having one, even if it's not for lino printing - Perfect for label making, tattoo transfers and more. Prints in black on white paper only and uses no ink, just heat! Much cheaper than a standard printer. The paper for these is very cheap as well. (My pink one has been discontinued but here it is in black and white.)
Thermal paper - https://temu.to/k/eik6dmrh60s
Great quality paper and works perfectly with the printer. The printer doesn't work without thermal paper so make sure you stock up.
This particular printer is A4, so buy A4 paper.
Lino Printing Equipment
Lino blocks
Linoleum blocks for carving
You can get all sorts of shapes and thicknesses of linoleum on here, so purchase accordingly depending on what you're making. I've purchased a lot of different ones and all of them are great. If your not sure what size to get, buy a4 and you can always cut it down to size later on.
I've also used a fair few lino blocks from Amazon, pretty much the exact same quality, but a tad more expensive as it arrives faster.
https://amzn.to/4q5KzoQ
https://amzn.to/3NPiQLS
All of these carving blocks are of professional quality. You'll figure out your preference if you use a few different kinds - I prefer thicker blocks, but it really depends on what you're making.
Carving tools / knives
Carving tools https://share.temu.com/zm1qvGXeEqB
The purple carving tool I have in my example images has been discontinued, but this link has very similar red one which I've also used. The better ones have metal screw heads to hold the different attachments in place. Not bad quality if you're starting out.
I would avoid purchasing the cheaper wooden ones with the stick if they come up as an option on TEMU - they are very cheap, but not the best quality. The one I purchased ended up in the bin, far too fiddly and couldn't get the blade to stop wobbling. Not ideal or very safe if you're trying to carve lino.
Best carving tools - Pfeil
Large set - https://amzn.to/4qNUfpg
If you really wanted to up your carving game, Pfeil tools are the best in the world. Pfeil are Swiss carving knives, need I say more. The ones I personally have are:
0.5mm (L11/0.5) https://amzn.to/4rdQf12 1mm (L11/1) https://www.jacksonsart.com/pfeil-linoleum-and-block-cutter-l-11-1 2mm (L11/2) https://www.jacksonsart.com/pfeil-linoleum-and-block-cutter-l-11-2
3mm (L11/3) - https://amzn.to/4qIwwa0
How well your block is carved is the most important part of lino printing, and some of the finer Pfeil tools have allowed me to get very small details that I wouldn't have been able to carve without that sharpness and precision. The 0.5 is the smallest lino knife I've ever used, the detail and precision you can get with these knives are unbeatable. These aren't budget tools by any means, but more of an investment in the craft once you know you like it. Once you've bought a Pfeil tool they can last a lifetime with proper care.
These tools will elevate your work, and can be used with any paper, linoleum and ink.
Budget friendly thin carving knives
Thin carving knives
https://share.temu.com/1omadzKOhPB If you don't want to splash out on Pfeil tools, these are a really good budget friendly option for smaller details - great if your starting out or don't want to spend a lot of money. For the price, they're actually very sharp and sturdy. They can carve out finer details with precision - This link is 6 of these knives for a under a fiver - can't really go wrong, they are surprisingly sharp and work very well for the price.
Transfer equipment
Transfer paper
In order to get your design pressed onto the lino, you will need transfer paper. There are other methods of getting your design on there, but this is a good option on a budget and without professional equipment. This paper works perfectly and allows you to get your design accurately onto the lino.
HB Pencils
for tracing your design onto the transfer paper.
pressing tools / barren
Perfect for pushing the ink onto the paper - both work very well, just depends on what you're making. I've found both of them useful for different shapes and sizes - They come as a set so you can try them both out.
Roller / Brayer https://temu.to/k/ek48badb3xw
These come in various sizes, all work very well. I have larger and smaller ones depending on what I'm making - If you only want to purchase one, I'd recommend opting for a smaller size.
Acrylic blocks
https://temu.to/k/e3jcyq5karb
Acrylic blocks are the best things you can use to roll out your lino ink. You can also use a smooth surfaced material, like plates or plastic, but acrylic blocks have the best results with the most even ink distribution.
Printing paint
Your best specifically buying block printing ink - These paints are designed to sit on the surface of the lino, roll evenly and transfer onto paper well. Oil paint can be used too, but it can take longer to dry.
Water based printing paint
https://temu.to/k/e70kjp6wef3
I use this exact paint in the heart image I've made, it rolls really well and dries with a lovely finish. You can get it in primary colours so any shade can be made.
Maries oil based paint
https://temu.to/k/emh2emm6sq6 When I purchased this the other month, it was labelled as 'engraving colour' The tube was exactly the same but the label has changed slightly. These are what I've used for that incredible bright pigment of orange in the examples above, I couldn't recommend these paints enough. These are listed here as oil, but oil paints are suitable for printing. (They just take longer to dry) The quality went above and beyond my expectations If you want incredible colour and you've got the time, I highly recommend.
Golden Sumi ink bottle
https://share.temu.com/TdiP1SJCZJB Haven't used this to print with yet, but the colour inside is a beautiful glistening gold - I can't wait to use it and you get quite a large amount for the price.
Additional tools
Sharpeners
Erasers / rubbers
Washi Tape
Washi tape or masking tape both work fine for securing your artwork in place for tracing.
School scissors
Handy to have for trimming paper, but the handle on these works brilliantly for rubbing the design from the transfer paper to the lino block.
Sharpie style felt tip pens
These are really good and a fraction of the price of sharpies, there are some designs that would require thicker lines to be drawn out on the lino. Makes it easier to see what you're doing and where you need to carve.
Biro Pen
great quality, perfect for finer lines when going over the design on your lino block.
Printing Materials
Papers
Watercolour paper for printing https://temu.to/k/ee9qvwvpuad Fantastic paper, 10/10 for quality, and very cheap too - I've bought lots of different paper from TEMU and I haven't been disappointed yet. This was one of the best bulk buys I have come across. The quality is the same as what you'd get in an art shop - and its perfect for lino printing. As it's watercolour paper the surface doesn't smudge and it's very absorbent.
portable lightweight paper cutter
Create custom sized prints with this portable paper cutter. I'd say this could be a little more sturdy, but it's so cheap and still does a great job.
Watercolour postcards (various sizes)
https://temu.to/k/eubflsd846u Same as above outstanding quality, just another size variation.
Watercolour bookmarks
another 10/10 for quality - these are beautiful and sturdy, perfect for lino printing but any other crafts are great for these too.
Other materials
Wooden bookmarks https://temu.to/k/epr2epobz59
More durable and longer lasting than the watercolour bookmarks, these ones come with tassels too - The smaller lino tools would be perfect for these if you were to lino print onto them
Rounded top bookmarks
https://temu.to/k/e5wu0le8rxn
Same quality as above but with a rounded top - these also come with tassels
Bookmark holders
https://temu.to/k/elbapudm0t1 These rounded top bookmarks also fit perfectly into these bookmark holders. If you were selling them, they can also be lino printed onto and come with plastic bags
tassels
These are a really soft material and come in various colours. You can get packs mixed colours or you can order the same ones.
Charms for bookmark tassels (Or anything else you can think of) https://temu.to/k/egc074md4kq You can get all sorts of different charms on here, these little bone ones are pretty cute.
Beads for bookmark tassels
Great quality and the perfect size for bookmark tassels.
Wooden signs
These are very cute and great for custom designs
Tote bags
Great quality and various sizes available from both Temu and Amazon.
Miscellaneous
These are some additional items I purchased when I was running my lino workshop. Handy if you wanted to share or sell your prints.
Wooden display
https://temu.to/k/ee1vxgrfnk9
Perfect to sell or display your prints - Minimal design emphasises the artwork.
Lovely and sturdy, I have one of these and a plastic one too, both are great and really elevate your work if your at an event.
Aprons
I bought this pack of 10 aprons for my lino printing class, they worked out at roughly £1 each, they come in various colours and do the job nicely! Can easily be customised with lino printing or patches. They have a small pocket on the front and are very generous in size. There are other size options available but these would fit most people.
Translucent gift wrap paper
Lovely translucent gift wrap, impressed with the quality and design. various styles available.
Postage / sealant stickers
https://temu.to/k/egsyyp9cv1u Really good quality and a lot of them for a good price - Vinyl finish and loads of variety available.
Washi tape
https://temu.to/k/eus0vlc1ydy
There are so many options for washi tape on Temu - The quality is amazing. a must when wrapping prints or securing transfer paper down for tracing
Washi tape holder https://temu.to/k/edjq4hjaz9a More handy than you realise, I had all sorts of tape in drawers, but this makes life easier. This one is a lovely desktop size and very convenient to use.
Purple gift bags
These are made of paper and are fantastic quality - Great for one off use. there are various colour options available.
Metal stand
These are perfect for displaying your artwork, or anything you want really. Wooden blocks, prints, plates etc.
Non-slip protective mats
https://share.temu.com/sqpO9trku5B I've used these at different stages in lino printing to protect my surface, they are very resistant and long lasting. Help against paint, scratching your desk, and generally provide a silicone rubber support.
Metal desk organiser
Great quality and great price - handy to keep all your tools in one place
Metal artwork drying rack
This is a small compact size for a drying rack, which might be ideal for those with small office spaces like myself. This particular model has 9 racks and is a good enough size to sit on or under a desk. Please check exact sizing on the website.
